Right in front of Horseshoe Bay is of course the ferry terminal! This ferry terminal is usually the first choice for any citizens anywhere near the area! The terminal has ferries that transfer over to Bowen Island and back all the time! With of course other locations like Nanaimo! The BC Ferries are beautiful and of course accompany their great Whitespot! Onur Gul, Matt Gul’s son takes the ferry every couple months for his swim competitions, and he loves a great meal from Whitespot in the ferries with his friends every time!
Right beside the Horseshoe Bay terminal is the one and only Sewell’s Marina, Horseshoe Bay. Sewell’s Marina has many amenities that makes it an amazing marina! One of the things that Sewell’s is very famous for is their amazing Sea Safari! You can go out on a boat with your family, with a great driver who knows where they’re going, to show you the greatest parts of our local ocean! Sewell’s also has boat rentals and of course moorage for your boats if you become a member. Sewell's Marina has a boat launch, you can use the ramp low tide to high tide, any tide will work! On the other part, there is another great location that is right in front of the ocean in Horseshoe Bay. Whytecliff park! Whytecliff park is an amazing trail that is rated at an easy level, which takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has a round trip of 2 km, and has an elevation gain of 75 meters. And yes, you are able to bring your dog, if they have a leash. Whytecliff park is an amazing hike, at the end you will have one of the greatest views of the ocean you will see, it is truly one of my favorites, and I am sure that you will love it too!
Horseshoe Bay provides many foodie locations! Matt Gul’s family favorite has to be Troll’s! Troll’s is open from 7AM to 7PM every day of the week! They serve great food and have a fantastic menu! If you’re ever in Horseshoe Bay and in need of a great meal, this is the place for you. Of course there are also many other amazing restaurants in Horseshoe Bay like, Olive & Anchor, C-Lovers Fish & Chips, Bay Sushi, Horseshoe Bay Chinese, Bay Moorings, and The Troller Ale House. Of course not only are there a few restaurants in the area, there are also some amazing fast food, and cafes! Like Pudgie Pizza, The Good Karma Cafe, Seaside Village Cafe, Subway, Freshslice Pizza, Baskin Robbins, Blenz Coffee, and of course, no location is complete with your neighbourhood Starbucks!
Horseshoe Bay also has plenty of businesses, like Flour Bakery, an amazing bakery with baked goods made with love. And Sea Dragon, Sea Dragon is a scuba diving and snorkeling company, they let you rent out many items like kayaks as well! A great company to go to, if you’re interested in looking at the depths of our oceans. Of course there are many of others like, Lalli Loves It, a boutique store, Spirit Gallery, an aboriginal art gallery, MLA Jordan Sturdy, a Federal Government office, Bayview convenience, a convenience store, Community Spirits Liquor Store, Bay Market, the local Horseshoe Bay market, fSquared Marketing, a Marketing Agency, Horseshoe Bay Motel, and Ferry Walk House which is a holiday apartment rental.
Not only does Horseshoe Bay possess all these amenities, Horseshoe Bay has an amazing park! Situated right on the beach by the marina, there is a beautiful park with plenty of space for your children to run around, and enjoy. There is a playground filled with many fun things for you and your kids to have fun on! It's a great picnic location, and we highly recommend this park as a great morning trip with your family! All in all, Horseshoe Bay is one beautiful place to live in!
